The Regional Offices assist prosecutors and law enforcement agencies in the prosecution of criminal cases and drug asset forfeiture cases. Georgia law authorizes the forfeiture of vehicles, currency, houses, and personal property, which are used, intended for use or represent proceeds traceable to unlawful activities. The Regional Offices work with the entire spectrum of law enforcement in Georgia using an interagency, interdisciplinary approach to target and forfeit assets. Staff attorneys assist multi-jurisdictional drug task forces and state and local law enforcement agencies in aggressively seizing assets for the purpose of destroying or dismantling drug dealers' businesses.
