Internship Info

The Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia invites full-time second-year law students who have completed 2/3 of their graduation requirements to apply for PAC's Internship Program. Created in 2000, this program offers rewarding and valuable experience which often acts as a gateway to career opportunities in prosecution. Please note that until further notice, this is an unpaid internship.

Interns will have the opportunity to:

  • Work in either a District Attorney's or Solicitor-General's office;
  • Practice criminal law under the Third Year Practice Act;
  • Gain hands-on experience in court;
  • Attend 7- day Basic Litigation course;
  • Potentially attend Summer Conference on Jekyll Island.

Details: Due to the suspension of the paid Summer Internship Program, PAC has established a Volunteer Internship and Externship Program. This program was designed to offer those law students an opportunity and experience to see first hand the workings of the criminal justice system in Georgia.

Duration: The duration of the Internship Program is at the discretion of the elected prosecutor in each office.

Criminal background check and drug screening required.

Please forward resume, along with cover letter describing why you wish to participate in this program. Specifically, list all counties in Georgia where you can live and/or commute to from your summer residence. The more rural your potential work location, the more opportunities there are available.
