Accrual is based on years of continuous service:
Accrual is at the rate of 10 hours per month regardless of years of service. With a balance of 120 hours or more, up to 24 sick leave hours per year may be transferred to personal leave.
12 paid holidays each calendar year.
Health, dental, vision, legal, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, healthcare and childcare spending accounts, and life and dependent life insurance are available.
Employees participate in the Employee's Retirement System. Employee contributions are 1.25% percent of salary. Employees vest at 10 years service and are eligible to retire at 30 years or age 60. Early retirement is available with penalties at 25 years of service. (www.ers.ga.gov)
Peach State Reserves is a supplemental retirement savings program, available in both 457 and 401(k) plans, that offers reduced current taxable income and accumulated tax-deferred savings.
