On Thursday, May 1, 2008, Ann Brown, Office Manager for the Cobb County Solicitor-General's office, was awarded the 2008 Cobb County Bar Association Administrative Professionalism Award at the Association's annual Law Day Luncheon.

"I am thrilled and honored to be nominated by my co-workers and privileged to be recognized by the Cobb County Bar Association," said Brown on her recognition.

"Ann was recognized for 28 years of service to the Cobb County Solicitor's Office, the citizens of Cobb County, and the people of the State of Georgia," said Barry Morgan, Solicitor-General of Cobb County.

According to Morgan, the Cobb County Solicitor's office was created 35 years ago and Brown has served for four of the five Solicitors of Cobb County in that office since it's inception. Brown has served in every facet of the office, including managing secretarial responsibilities, hiring and training personnel, and overseeing the management of a $3 million budget.

"The prosecution community is proud of the service that Ann gives to our profession. We salute her for receiving this well-deserved recognition," said Morgan.
