The Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia is pleased to announce the addition of William Johnson to serve as our statewide Adult Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation Prosecutor (AANEP).
William brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to PAC on these issues. He has previously served as an assistant district attorney and as an assistant solicitor-general in Bibb County where he specialized in the prosecution of cases involving elder and disabled adult abuse cases. He is certified through the Division of Aging Services / Georgia Department of Human Services. He has also participated in the National Dependent Adult Abuse Symposium.
William has presented on the topic of Elder Abuse Prosecution: What to Expect and Where Are the Pitfalls. William has created protocols for handling elder and disabled adult cases in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and other agencies.
William is a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.
