Ron CarlsonRONALD L. CARLSON is Callaway Professor of Law at the University of Georgia . He is the author of thirteen books on evidence, trial practice and criminal procedure, including "Objections at Trial" (Lexis Publishing).

As a professor of trial practice, Carlson was recognized by the Roscoe Pound Foundation of ATLA. Each year the Foundation selects one law teacher from throughout the nation to honor as the recipient of the Foundation's prestigious Richard S. Jacobson Award. The award was conferred upon Carlson "in recognition of his demonstrated excellence over the years in the teaching of trial advocacy principles."

Professor Carlson is a member of ATLA and GTLA, and he has been a frequent contributor to Verdict magazine.

MICHAEL S. CARLSON is a Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit. Mr. Carlson received his AB degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from Washington and Lee University in 1992, where he received the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Award for excellence in trial advocacy skills. Prior to his appointment as an Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Carlson practiced in the law firm of Hull, Towill, Norman and Barrett in Augusta , specializing in media law and general civil practice. In 2005, Mr. Carlson received the J. Roger Thompson award from the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council for outstanding service as a faculty member at the Basic Litigation Course.
